So, for a bit while now, India as well as I have been trading links to patterns for airship-hostess dresses. (You know, what the flight attendant on the dirigible wears?)

I mean, I’ve discovered area dirigible-crew gowns before, however for some reason these above are more fit to atmospheric travel.
What makes an airship-hostess dress, you ask? I believe it’s a combination of asymmetry, buttons, as well as a longish A-line skirt. fascinating collars as well as pockets are good, too. If the gown would look great with a small pillbox hat with a cockade, that’s one more plus.
I don’t understand why I’m so tickled by these dresses. perhaps it’s the allure of steampunk (I like the concept of an art-deco type of steampunk), or perhaps it’s that I’ve been flying a great deal lately as well as am wistful for the concept of quiet, elegant airship travel (now! with fewer Hindenburgs!). who understands why … all I understand is that I want to see more of them! tips welcome.
(Oh, as well as btw, India, I’ll have you know, is so deeply saturated with win that she made this Flickr set: A everyday hint From Paris. Take a look … there are only a baker’s lots or so right now so it won’t kill your whole morning.)
